I went on a private tour for several hours. It was one of the highlights of my time in Costa Rica! The guide, Vicelino, was extremely knowledgeable and always made sure to customize the walk to my wishes. We spotted beautiful birds including three Quetzals. The green parrot snake was also a highlight. And with Vicelinos help I was able to capture all the animals in gorgeous pictures.

Absolutely first class service. We were travelling with two small boys and wanted a day and night tour at their pace. We chose to avoid the group tours as we were (rightly) concerned that they would disrupt the experience of others in that context. We did both of our tours with Olman and he was brilliant – he adapted the pace and focus but without compromising quality and we saw quetzals, toucanets, a large toucan, motmots, pit vipers, a stream frog, uv glowing scorpions, leaf cutter ants, howler monkeys, a kinkajou and all sorts of other creatures including a little bug that lit up when you touched it. The forest areas were magical and the extra information imparted was priceless. Olman explained the ecology of the forest in such detail we really felt educated. In addition, Jorge, who helped us book the tours (and was lovely to deal with), organised a bit of an impromptu birthday party for the children who both had birthdays during our trip. We had cake at sunset and played with the family dogs and it was wonderful. Nothing bad to say, all fantastic and worth every penny. We’re already planning our retirement to Monteverde! Thank you Pasión Costa Rica.
Easy to organise and book we had arranged a private tour for the two of us. Our private tour guide Jason who was amazing very knowledgeable and knew all the locations to find various species. As soon as we were out of our car in the car park there was a slough in a tree on full view. We had seen armadillo, porcupine, opossums, snail snake then also toucan, hummingbirds and various other birds sleeping. We were even lucky enough to see a side stripped palm pit viper.
Had an amazing day and night private tour with Felix. Felix was incredible and super knowledge. Would absolutely recommend.

Please do not hasitate to book a hike with Pasión Costa Rica while visiting Monteverde. We booked the day and night combo and absolutely loved it! This was our number one hike during our 3,5 week long tour in this beautiful country. Felix was a great guide with lots of knowledge and pasion for sharing. We saw a lot of different birds like tucans, humming birds and manakins, two different kinds of monkeys, big spiders and other insects. Our lunch meal was included, and one of the best tipico we had on our journey. Thank you so much for an unique experience! Best regards Joakim and Inger.
