Overview

Start your day at a relaxed pace and maximize your Monteverde experience with this full-day combo tour, running approximately 10 AM–4 PM. Begin with a fun and flavorful group tour at Don Juan Tours, exploring three of Costa Rica’s important crops: coffee, chocolate, and sugarcane, with hands-on demonstrations and plenty of tasting.

We’ll then take you to Treetopia for a fresh Tico lunch, and, finally, immerse yourself in the mystical Cloud Forest on a small-group afternoon guided tour, strolling hanging bridges, spotting wildlife (no guarantees), and learning about this unique ecosystem—all without the early morning rush.

Tips for a great tour

Dress in layers — weather can shift quickly!
Wear closed-toe shoes suitable for uneven terrain, though all trails are well-maintained.
Bring a reusable water bottle.
Stay on the trail and follow guide instructions.
Keep voices low to avoid disturbing wildlife.
Don’t touch or remove plants or animals — let the forest stay wild.

In a nutshell

We’ll pick you up and bring you to a fun (and delicious!) 3-in-1 coffee, sugarcane and chocolate tour. .
We’ll then stop for lunch. Let us know if you have any dietary restrictions.
After lunch, enjoy one of our beautiful cloud forest trails.
Don’t be fooled: an afternoon tour can be just as good as a morning tour, due to our temperate (not coastal/hot) climates, and to avoid morning crowds.
When finished, you’ll be dropped off at your place of lodging, or another destination upon request, if on the same route.

The tour was totally AWESOME, from the prompt pickup at our hotel, to all the information we received on the tour, the all the birds and animals Marcos found for us and the AMAZING pictures he took for us it was great. Then the quaint local restaurant had delicious food and to top it off the night tour was great, my friend just wanted to see a sloth and that was the first animal we saw! Then Marcos finds us all these sleeping birds and butterfies. I cannot recommend this tour or Marcos highly enough.

I cannot recommend Pasión Costa Rica more highly! The entire experience was wonderful, stress free, and lots of fun!
